The Best Time to Get an Astrology Reading

Nope. January is not the best time to get an astrology reading...unless you're a Capricorn. Here you'll find six great times to consult an astrologer. These aren't in any particular order—they're all equally good for getting a little astro TLC.

Your Birthday

Your birthday is your personal new year, making it prime time for an astrology reading. Each year of your life is flavored by a specific planet and house. Your year's guiding planet describes the tone of the year, and the highlighted house describes the major life areas that will be in play.

When life's changing

Whether exciting, challenging, or something in between, navigating a major change is a great time to consult an astrologer. Astrology has a unique way of making you feel seen and heard. It gives fresh language and context to your experience, which can be extremely comforting. Astrology can help you make sense of what's happening, and show you how to navigate any transition with more self-compassion.

When you're making a decision

Need to make a choice? Viewing your options through an astrological lens may help guide you in a direction. Everything has an astrological imprint—even Option A and Option B. Comparing that imprint to your imprint can be really enlightening. Your chart describes your needs, desires, and what feels most natural to you—all good reminders when you need to take a step forward. An astrologer shouldn't make a decision for you, but they can compare your options to your birth chart and help you decide which one is a better fit.

When you're confused

I believe you have the answers, but a little guidance sure is nice sometimes. If you're feeling disconnected from yourself, an astrology reading can help you get back in tune. Your chart describes your truth, your essence, and it can remind you of who you are and what you want.

When there's a lot of hype

If you follow any astrology on social media, I'm sure you've encountered astro hype—making a big deal about things like Mercury retrograde, eclipses, or outer planet action. There's always some truth in the hype, but it's also not the best source of sound astrological advice. Normal astrological events often get blown out of proportion on social media, leading to a lot of unnecessary fear. When in doubt, consult a professional.

Right now

If you're reading this, it's a sign that it's time for a reading. There's a reason you're thinking about it. Listen to yourself. Book an appointment with me here.
